Prior to his tenure at Statoil, Mr. Mathis also held positions of increasing responsibility at Occidental Petroleum Corporation and Unocal, both domestically and internationally. Mr. Mathis received a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1992.
